Louise is doing a post-doctorate on the use of insects such as mealworms and black soldier flies to recover organic residual materials with Laval University.

For 15 years, she has been passionate about the management of organic waste. She has raised earthworms capable of handling 10 tonnes of organic matter per year and planned several institutional and industrial composting sites. She has also worked with insects at Space for Life.

She is currently Scientific Projects Manager at the David Suzuki Foundation. Author of numerous scientific publications, she is also a popularizer appreciated by the media.
